What are essential oils? They are the fragrant oils stored in secretion pouches within plant leaves, flowers, stalks or roots. Their primary purpose is to help the plant survive bacteria, viruses, and parasites. Over 100kg of plants may be needed to make a few ounces of the oil that goes into Rene Furterer hair treatment products. Rene Furterer Complexe 5
Once a week, Rene Furterer Complexe 5 is the first-step to prepare your scalp for the particular hair treatment you need. Complexe 5 activates scalp microcirculation and cleans your scalp, so the effectiveness of your following hair treatment is increased by up to 10 times.
Lavender and orange pure essential oils comprise 53% of Complexe 5. They provide nutrients to hair bulbs to strengthen your hair. An antiseptic purifies your scalp.
Rene Furterer Complexe 5 is applied once a week to your dry, unwashed scalp. You may feel a warm sensation or tingling as your scalps circulation is stimulated. Leave it on for 5 minutes, then follow with your next hair treatment or shampoo depending on your particular condition. Complexe 5 is not recommended for pregnant women or people with a sensitive scalp. Rene Furterer Complexe 5 is packaged either as a 1.7 ounce bottle, or 12 treatment vials of .16 ounce each.
Curbicia for Oily Hair
Our oily scalp and oily hair treatment, Curbicia [cur·bee·see·ya], is an extract made from squash seeds. Treat oily hair by applying Rene Furterer Curbicia purifying clay mask, allowing the clay to dry. Then follow with Rene Furterer Curbicia shampoo. Or a single-step alternative is Rene Furterer Curbicia Purifying Clay Shampoo, a two-in-one formula.
Carthame for Dehydrated Hair
Our dehydrated scalp and hair treatment, Carthame [car·tham], uses carthamus oil from the safflower. First you shampoo with Rene Furterer Carthame Moisturizing Milk Shampoo. Next apply Rene Furterer Carthame Gentle Hydro-Nutritive Mask to rehydrate your dry hair, then rinse. Finally, Rene Furterer Carthame Day Time Moisturizing Conditioner is applied to dry hair daily and left in the hair all day long.
Karite for Dry Hair
Our once-a-week dry scalp and dry hair treatment, Karite [care·e·tay], is Karite butter and oil (shea butter). The first treatment step is Rene Furterer Karite Intense Nutrition Oil, applied to dry unwashed scalp and hair for five minutes. Follow with Karite Intense Nourishing Shampoo, then apply Rene Furterer Karite Intense Nourishing Conditioning Cream for 5-10 minutes, then rinse. A final treatment applied to dry hair and left in is Karite No Rinse Nutritive Concentrate for hair lengths, or Karite No Rinse Repairing Serum for hair ends.
Okara for Color-Treated Hair
Color-treated hair benefits from Okara [oh·car·ah], using the beneficial Okara extract from soybeans, to help preserve your hair color. Rene Furterer Okara Shampoo is step one, followed by Okara Restructuring and Protective Mask left on for two minutes before rinsing. Then apply to dry hair Okara Protective Conditioner or Okara Radiance Serum.
Astera for Sensitive Scalp
Sensitive and irritated scalp is treated with Astera [ah·stare·ah], from the Asteraceae extract (Echinacea plant). First step is Astera Soothing Fluid, left on the dry scalp for five minutes, then shampoo with Astera Soothing Shampoo. Astera No Rinse Soothing Serum is then applied to hair and left in without rinsing.
Tonucia for Lifeless Hair
For lifeless, weakened hair use our Tonucia [tow·new·see·ya] Toning Shampoo that has essential oils of orange, lavender and rosemary to purify the scalp and cimentrio to rebuild hair structure. Rinse then apply Rene Furterer Tonucia Toning and Densifying Mask to condition your hair for 5 minutes before you rinse again. The final hair treatment step: leave in Tonucia Densifying Mousse to thicken hair strands all day.
Fioravanti for Dull Hair
Dull flat hair needs Fioravanti [fee·or·a·von·tee], a complex of 14 plant extracts and cherry vinegar. Rene Furterer Fioravanti Volumizing Shampoo or Fioravanti Shine Enhancing Shampoo is your first hair treatment step, followed by Fioravanti Shine Enhancing Cream Rinse.
